Elder Mae Louise Campbell

Mae Louise Campbell is an Ojibway Métis Elder. She has gained respect within the Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal community as an elder with a vision of healing for the people, a warm generous heart, and a sense of humour that "makes the medicine go down". Mae Louise has traveled across Canada sharing traditional Aboriginal teachings. She has sat on many boards, been the guest speaker at numerous organizational and political meetings, and led thousands of sharing/healing circles. Her commitment to help people is evident in the number of calls she receives each week for this work.

Mae Louise lives out in St. Laurent Manitoba where she is the keeper of Grandmother Moon Lodge. The lodge was created for the healing of women, built totally by women for women, without any government funding. She, along with her daughters offer various programs such as drum making and talking stick workshops for organizations, agencies and groups of individuals who are in need of spiritual healing and growth.

Our Mother Earth has been giving us excessive rain this past month making our ceremonial grounds and camping area mushy and wet. Monday night's downpour makes it impossible to gather this weekend. We want to ensure your comfort and well being. A week of sunshine does wonders! Still bring your raingear and rubber boots and lots of mosquito repellent.

It’s going to be another powerful gathering with 13 Grandmothers coming in the 13th year of Grandmother Moon Lodge!

There is much Love and Compassion inside of you that can be used to heal the broken hearts of all the Children of Sorrow.” Now the black smoke of destruction and despair of the Earth Mother and her people is lifting and the healing fire of the seventh world of transformation will guide us back to Balance and Harmony.

The prophecy amongst many of our Ancient tribes on Turtle Island said “There will come a time when our “Grandmother Councils” will be needed to bring the Balance and Teachings back to the People. We are living in this time now.”
